The name is pretty accurate the Caribbean Poker Adventure plays in the Caribbean, it is a poker tournament, and as anyone who has spent a week in the Caribbean can tell you, it is always an adventure. Begun in 2004, the European Poker Tour (EPT) is another example of the worldwide popularity of Texas Hold Em. Like the World Poker Tour (WPT), the EPT televises a series of poker tournaments. However, the difference between the tours is that the EPT has buy-ins roughly half the size of those in the WPT, which affects the prize pool.
